New Year…Still Here!

Posted on 15 January 2011 by urbanmusiceducation.org

I just wanted to write a quick note to let you all know I’m still alive and made it into 2011 with everyone else! I seem to have lost the ability to plan and organize, however, so the blogging has been put way down on the list of things to do. December was good. I had two peformances within two weeks and a great Holiday Sing-along that is our annual tradition. The part of my life that’s really getting to me is all the Mom stuff. Having a dramatic 8-year-old and volatile 3-year-old has consumed my life to the point that I spent the entire break doing NO work and having to lock myself away for 3 days in January while I planned for 16 hours! It was really a marathon planning session. Two weeks later, I’m pleased with the first round of teaching and I will be anxious to start again after this three-day weekend. Anyway, I plan to add some more posts this month as I am presenting at CMEA for the first time on “Orff and Technology”. Stop by later in the month and I will post my reaction to the conference as well as my presentation notes. See you soon!
